The delegation of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro, led by the dean prof. Dr. Anetom Spaić, visited Regents University in London as part of the ENEMLOS project (Legal clinics in the service of vulnerable groups: improving the employability of law students through practical education), in the period from September 26 to 30, 2022. While staying on the campus of the prestigious Regents University, the participants of the visit had the opportunity, inter alia, to learn about the University's programs and developed standards in the field of teaching and student evaluation through interactive lectures. The management and professors of Regents University presented a new concept of program planning, which is aligned with the current needs of students and the labor market and which ultimately leads to an increase in student employment. In addition to the above, the participants of the visit spoke with Philip Benjamin, a professor and former lawyer, who presented the legal system of the United Kingdom and the specifics of the jurisdiction, where the focus was on the differences of precedent law and the law belonging to the European-continental legal circle, among which is also Montenegrin. In the field of international law, the participants attended a lecture by attorney Aarif Abraham and exchanged opinions and information about the crisis in Ukraine and the legal and political possibilities for creating an effective accountability system. In addition to representatives of the Faculty of Law of UCG, representatives of non-academic institutions, i.e. partners in the Project, participated in the visit, namely: representatives of the Supreme Court of Montenegro, the Bar Association of Montenegro, the Notary Chamber of Montenegro and the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution. With the implementation of this project activity, another phase of the ENEMLOS project has been successfully completed, in the further course of which training and practical work with students will be carried out at the Clinic. ENEMLOS is one of the largest projects of the UCG Faculty of Law, which is supported within the Erasmus+ program for capacity building in the field of higher education. The key goals of this project are the modernization and orientation of the existing teaching practice, especially in practical legal disciplines. Also, the goal is to increase the capacity of law faculties; acquiring new and developing existing legal skills; and the establishment of long-term and sustainable cooperation with the legal institutions of the countries participating in the Project. Ultimately, an important goal is to develop students' interest and motivation; improving the employability of law students and enabling the wider community - especially vulnerable clients to protect their rights by providing them with free legal advice.
