Aneta Spaić, PhD, was born on 27 September 1981 in Nikšić, where she completed elementary school. Diploma of international baccalaureate in high school has been given to her by United World College in Trieste, Italy. In 2004, she graduated from the Law Faculty in Podgorica, graduating with top honours (having an average grade of ten). While studying, she was awarded by the city of Podgorica, School of Law and University, several awards and the Charter of the University of Montenegro as best student of the University and Law School. After her Bachelor’s degree in law, she pursued her Masters in Law at Kyushu University (Fukuoka, Japan) as a scholar of the Japanese Government. In 2004 she was elected for a teaching assistant and worked as the administrative assistant in Centre for Human Rights. About the same time, she became a laureate of the Montenegrin Academy of Science and Art. In 2009, she obtained her PhD from the Law Faculty of University of Montenegro in Podgorica. In December of the same year, she was elected for arbitrator of the International Arbitration Court attached to Chamber of Commerce, and conferred the academic title of assistant professor at the University of Montenegro, Faculty of Law. In 2010 she was appointed for the national correspondent by Government of Montenegro in UNCITRAL. In 2011 she became a member of Centre for Young Scientists of Montenegrin Academy of Science and Art, and in 2014 a member of Global Young Academy. In May 2015 she was conferred the rank of associate professor at University of Montenegro, Faculty. In April 2018 she became the member of the Prosecutor Council of the country. In May of 2019 she assumed the position of the dean of the Law School University of Montenegro. 

She gave lectures/speeches on various business legal issues ranging from arbitration, privacy rights, and business financial reform from 2000 to 2014 in a variety of forums from Washington DC to Dallas, Texas to New York, and countries such as Austria, Belgrade, Croatia, Germany, Montenegro, Netherlands and Spain. In addition, she experienced teaching law in law schools and undergraduate forums, having taught International Business Law at Washington and Lee Law School, Lexington, VA.  Her areas of interest are: Media Law, EU Law, International Business Law, International Contract Law, and International Commercial Arbitration. 

She is the (co) author of monographs and significant number of articles in the scientific, professional international and national journals. 

 

Vladimir Savković, PhD (1977) is a full professor at the University of Montenegro Faculty Law, Vice-Dean for international and inter-institutional cooperation and the member of the Universtiy of Montenegro Senate.
Besides numerous scientific papers and book chapters, he published five law books as the sole author:
- EU Law of the Internal Market: Private Law Aspects, 2019 (in Montenegrin);
- Montenegro Contracts, Kluwer Law International, 2017 (in English);
- Montenegro Corporations & Partnerships, Kluwer Law International (2014) (in English);
- Basics of Law of Electronic Contracting, University of Montenegro, 2013 (in Montenegrin);
- Shareholder’s Derivative Suits, University of Montenegro, 2004 (in Montenegrin).

Most recent interests & activities:

In 2019, he served as the national legal expert for the IFC - International Finance Corporation (WB Group) - detailed assessment of Montenegrin regulatory framework for investments executed under Multi-Annual Action Plan on Regional Economic Area/Regional Investment Reform Agenda (RIRA) for the WB 6 countries.

In the period 2012 - 2018, he served as a member of the Government of Montenegro Group for Negotiations – main negotiating team of Montenegro in its ongoing accession negotiations with the EU. In this capacity he was in charge of leading negotiations (i.e. aligning Montenegrin legal and institutional framework with that of the EU) in following negotiations chapters: Chapter 3 - Right of establishment and freedom to provide services; Chapter 6 - Company law; Chapter 7 - Intellectual property law; Chapter 20 - Enterprise and industrial policy. He is still a member of the working groups for accession negotiations in chapters 3 and 6.

He is also serving as a lecturer at Montenegrin Judicial Training Centre, where he teaches EU and national company law to both future and current Montenegrin judges.

Until 2019, he served as a member of governing and a member of editing board for the “SEE | EU Cluster of Excellence in European and International Law” – international scientific project headed by Europa-Insitut Saarland University (other partners SEELS – South East European Law Schools Network and UoM Faculty of Law).

In November and December 2018, as GIZ international legal expert, he was assigned to prepare work plan and provide training for the Albanian Government working group established for commencing and conducting accession negotiations in Chapters 6 – Company law.

In the period 2015 – 2017, he served as national expert for EU and national company law – Expert support to Montenegrin Government (under the auspices of GIZ) in drafting and aligning new Montenegrin Law on Business organizations with EU company law provided to Government of Montenegro - Ministry of economy,

In 2015 and 2016, he served as expert witness for Montenegrin law in investment arbitration proceedings in Paris (under ICSID rules of arbitration) and Vienna (under UNCITRAL Rules of arbitration);

He was as visiting scholar at Europa Institut – Saarland, University Sophia Antipolis – Nice, University of Nebraska – USA, CEU – Budapest (Vienna), etc.

He served or still serves as a member of number working groups in charge of drafting new laws and otherwise aligning Montenegrin with EU’s legal and institutional framework.


Nikola Dožić, PhD, was born in Kolašin. He completed primary and secondary education in Podgorica. He graduated in 2003 at Faculty of Law in Podgorica.  He finished the master studies in 2010 and his PhD studies in 2014. 

He worked at the Securities Commission of the Republic of Montenegro, as an advisor in the Securities Market Control Sector, and as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law, Mediterranean University. 

From November 2012 to May 2018, he served as Secretary General of the Association of Lawyers of Montenegro. In December 2013, he was named Secretary of the Journal Legal Proceedings. From 2018 he is the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Legal Proceedings.

Since February 2014, he works as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro.

Since 2017 he is a member of the Centre for Young Scientists of the Montenegrin Academy of Sciences and Arts. From 2018 to July 2019, he was as Secretary of the CANU Centre for Young Scientists. In July 2019, he was elected President of CANU's Centre for Young Scientists and Artists.

Since 2017, he is a member of the Consumer Protection Council at the Ministry of Economy of the Government of Montenegro.

He has published scientific papers and articles in the field of legal science in international and national journals. He has participated in scientific projects, and at professional and scientific conferences in Montenegro and abroad. She is engaged in scientific research in various areas of business and civil law.

He is fluent in English language.

Velibor Korać, PhD, Civil Law Department, was born on the May 19, 1984 in Podgorica. Dr. Velibor Korać is a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Law University of Montenegro. He was graduated from the Faculty of Law UoM (2006), obtained a postgraduate master's degree (2009) and defended his PhD theses (2017) at the same Faculty. In 2019 he was habilitated to teach Notary Law. 

He publisched 2 books, as well as 30 articles.

Marina Jovićević, PhD, was born on 8th June 1987 in Podgorica, Montenegro. She is appointed as Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro since 2011 and is engaged at the Constitutional Legal Department. Her research interests fall within the field of constitutional law and EU law. 

She graduated (BSc) from the Faculty of Law of the University of Montenegro in 2010, with grade „A“. In 2012 she was awarded a MSc degree in constitutional law from the University of Montenegro. In 2018, she was awarded a Doctor of Law degree by defending her doctoral thesis, entitled: ’EU Constitutionalism: the Sources of Law in European Union in the Light of Comparative Constitutionalism’. During her studies, she was awarded several awards and fellowships. She is the author of several publications, as well as participant of many domestic and international scientific conferences. She speaks English.

Rajka Djokovic, PhD

Born in Niksic (1980), where she finished elementary and secondary school.
