Within the framework of the ENEMLOS project, the staff of Law Faculty at the University of Zagreb hosted for a weekly study visit at the Live Legal Clinic academic staff of three mentioned universities of Kosovo and two participants from the Kosovo Bar Asscociation. The study visit took place online from 17 -22 January 2020 (including traveling days). This study visit was facilitated by the Zagreb University and Kadri Zeka University. The invitation for the training was sent to the staff of the UHZ, University of Prishtina, University “Kadri Zeka” Gjilan, Gjilan Basic Court as well as to the staff of Bar Association of Kosovo. The total number of participants from Kosovo to this study visit fifteen (15) and staff from Zagreb including students working at the Zagreb Live Legal Clinic. During this study visit, the participants were welcomed by the Vice-Dean of the Law Faculty of Zagreb University at the premises of the Law Faculty. The participants were informed about the role of the Law Faculty in developing the Zagreb Live Legal Clinic and explained the success and challenges faced during this process. After the introductory session, the participants were able to pose questions and raise any point of interest for the discussion during. After, the participants went to the premise of the Zagreb Live Legal Clinic and visited its offices and staff working there. During the afternoon session, the participants were divided into groups composed of four participants from Kosovo and each group has to be present at the interview office of the Zagreb Live Legal Clinic in order to monitor and follow physically the interviews conducted between the live legal clinic’s students and their live clients. At the end of the interview, the participants had the possibility to pose questions to the students or administrator of the live legal clinic with regard to the cases brought by their clients or questions related to the functioning of live legal clinic. After the visit to the Zagreb Live Legal Clinic and after the participation of the first group to the interviews between students and their clients, all participants went back to the plenary session at the premises of the Law Faculty, during which plenary session participants from Kosovo discussed further about their experiences from their participation the real interviews between students of legal clinic and live clients. They were able to pose additional questions to the Zagreb University’s staff involved in the ERASMU+ Project. During the second day of the study visit, the other groups of participants from Kosovo continued their visit to the Zagreb Live Legal Clinic in order to monitor and follow physically the interviews conducted between the live legal clinic’s students and their live clients. Like the other groups, participants of the two last groups were able to pose questions to the students or administrator of the live legal clinic with regard to the cases brought by their clients or questions related to the functioning of live legal clinic. During the third day of the study visit, all participants from Kosovo were present at the last plenary session. During this plenary session, groups of the first and second day presented their experiences from their participation at the interviews. They were able to pose additional questions to the Zagreb University’s staff involved in the ERASMU+ Project and get clarification. During this plenary session, participants from Kosovo together with the Zagreb University’s staff involved in the ERASMU+ Project, discussed about the possibility of using such experience to their universities in Kosovo. Of course, participants from Kosovo see as comprehensive project the functionalisation of the live legal clinic within their institutions by concluding that it is going to be faced with some challenges considering the financial aspects and needs for legal changes. However, they are optimistic that the model of Zagreb Live Legal Clinic will be adapted with the support of ENEMLOS project.
